DATES-PRODUCING

The bar graph shows the annual production of dates in tonnes for the top ten countries in 2001. In this essay, I will describe the differences of the production rates.

First of all, about 1.1 million is the largest amount of goods in Egypt, before Iran which produced around 0,9 million. After that UAE and Saudi Arabia had the same rate of approximately 750,000 tonnes. In the middle position, Iraq and Pakistan also had the same rate of about 600,000 tonnes.

On the other hand, Algeria and Oman had small amounts but not the smallest with 400,000 and 250,000 tonnes respectively. Finally, Sudan and Libya are in the minority by around 150,000 tonnes for the first and about 100,000 tonnes for the second.

In conclusion, Egypt and Iran took the lion’s share of production by almost 1 million tonnes while Sudan and Libya took the monkey’s share of production by less than 200,000 tonnes.
