Population Growth

The line graph shows population growth in less developed countries and more developed countries between 1750 and 2150. Overall, less developed countries’ population increased much more than more developed countries in the past; also it is still growing in the present and it is expected to go up in the future.

The largest change was the dramatic rise in less developed countries from 1950 to 2000 to 6.1 billion. Moreover, the Population Reference Bureau estimates that less developed countries will have a huge population by 2150 of about 10 billion.

On the other hand, more developed countries’ population has increased slightly from 1750 to now. In the future it’s expected to remain the same to 2150 according to the United Nations World Population Prospects, the 1998 Revision, and estimated by the Population Reference Bureau.

In conclusion, there are big differences between more developed and less developed countries in population. Unfortunately, the huge increase is happening in poorer countries.
